Roldan H. Calderon-Munoz, 77, of Newark entered into eternal life on December 21, 2020. Services were private. The Funeral Mass was held in Saint Peter’s Church, Belleville. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Arrangements were under the care and direction of the Irvine Cozzarelli Memorial Home, 276 Washington Avenue, Belleville. (973-759-1114)
Roldan was born and raised in Biblian, Ecuador. He had been the owner and operator of a taxi-cab company while in Ecuador prior to setting in the United States.
Mr. Calderon-Munoz is survived by his former spouse, Clemencia Calle; his children, Anita Calderon, Oscar R. Calderon, Maria D. Solrzal, Magdalena R. Bastida, Jorge A. Calderon, Martin P. Calderon, and Santiago A. Calderon; 21 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. Roldan was one of 10 children, survived by 6 of his siblings, and pre-deceased by 3 of his siblings.
When Roldan was not watching his favorite sport, Soccer, he devoted his time to family. His grandchildren were a treasure to him, as he was to them.
