Michael Sambrowsk

Michael Sambrowski of Kearny, N.J. passed away on Saturday August 22, 2020 at the age of 72. 

Michael was born Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on November 28, 1947 to Frank & Theresa (nee Kern) Sambrowski. He lived most of his life in Belleville and Bloomfield prior to moving to Kearny 3 years ago.

Michael proudly served our country during the Vietnam war in the United States Army artillery unit. He then went to work at the Essex County Geriatric Center, Belleville, as a supervisor of the housekeeping department for 25 years prior to his retirement. Michael was friendly and outgoing. During his retirement he spent time with his family and also chatting with his friends and neighbors.

Michael is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years Catherine “Cathie” (nee Fitzgerald) Sambrowski; his loving children, Joseph Sambrowski & his wife Kimberly and Patrick Sambrowski; dear brother Frank Sambrowski; and his adoring grandson Joseph Sambrowski, Jr. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
