John Robert McElroy, Jr.

John “Johnny” Robert McElroy, Jr., born on November 15, 1954, passed away August 1, 2022 in Florence, South Carolina.

Born in Kearny, New Jersey, he lived most of his life in Belleville, New Jersey before moving to Conway, South Carolina with his beloved wife of 38 years

He happily drove a tractor trailer all of his life.  Finishing his career driving for Shop Rite for 18 years and retiring in April 2020.

Johnny is survived by his loving wife, Carol; beloved son, Sean; and cherished brother, Greg.  He was the adoring Uncle of Ellie, Robert, Johanna, and Adam.

Johnny’s zest for life was contagious and he was loved by everyone who’s life he touch.

A Christian Wake Service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 3:15 PM at McMillan-Small Funeral Home, Myrtle Beach, S.C. www.msfh.net 

A celebration of Johnny's life will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Irvine-Cozzarelli Memorial Home, 276 Washington Avenue, Belleville, N.J.
